I just got off the phone with a company that provides me a service for which I pay $600 each month.
A couple of days ago I received a letter from them saying that due to economic factors, cost increases, blah, blah, blah they were going to raise my rate by a “modest amount”.
Infomercials are lengthy TV commercials that act like a reporting piece. People get wrapped up in the promises, and believe every testimonial – thinking they will find huge financial freedom and success as described in the program.
It’s great to be an entrepreneur, right? There are plenty of “upsides” to being your own boss. But there is a downside. If you are sick or disabled, you can’t rely on employee health benefits to carry you through the rough times. How long could you manage without an income if you were unable to work due to sickness or injury? If more than ninety days would be a problem, you have probably already considered purchasing disability insurance.
Communication has become the great fashion and addiction of our age. Kids think a mobile phone is cool. Workers think that communicating is a sign of productivity. Communication may make you look cool, but it does not necessarily make you more productive. Communication, without thought, is in fact an unproductive activity.
