People who bank online have a higher level of customer satisfaction then when they use other online financial services like credit card sites and investment sites, according to a new study by ForeSee Results and Forbes.comThe study, which uses the methodology of the University of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), found that online banking scores 82 on ACSI’s 100-point scale. Credit card and investment Web sites both score 75.

Online Retail Sales To Hit $204 Billion
Online retail sales will continue to see solid growth with retail sales increasing 17 percent this year to $204 billion according to a Shop.org study conducted by Forrester Research.Apparel ($26.6 billion), computers ($23.9 billion), and autos ($19.3 billion) will be the largest three sales categories."From higher shipping costs to changes in consumer shopping habits, online retailers are not immune to the current economic climate," said Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org.
European Parents Spending More Time Online
The European Interactive Advertising Association says that adults who live with children are more engaged online that those who don’t, according to its new "Digital Families Report."The report found that 73 percent of people living with children are going online each week, compared to 52 percent who don’t. They are also engaging in broader range of digital activities than those without children.
42% Of Americans Play Games Online
Participation in gaming increased in 2007 over 2006, from 64 percent of the population to 72 percent of the population according to a new report from The NPD Group, "Online Gaming 2008."More than half play games online, with 90 percent of online gamers saying they use a PC to play games and 19 percent said they use a video game console with 3 percent saying they use a cell phone.The number of online gamers relative to the total U.S. population is 42 percent so far this year, up from 40 percent in 2007.

A new survey conducted by Convio, Sea Change Strategies and Edge Research found that major donors to nonprofits give generous amounts to various causes online.On average major donors give $11,000 each year to a variety of nonprofits and they spend an average of 18 hours a week online.
