Yahoo Gives Webmasters Way to Embed Media in SERPs
Yahoo has introduced a new way for site owners to enhance their Yahoo Search results using SearchMonkey. If you have flash videos, games, presentations, etc. you can have them show up right in Yahoo’s SERPs.

Twitter: A Real Time Pulse Of Customer Satisfaction
Sydney, Australia-based web developer Michael Air recounts how his “light bulb” moment about real time search came as he was looking for a new hosting company. Instead of looking on Google, he consulted Twitter about a specific brand. “Ten pages in and 99 percent of comments were saying how bad that hosting company was,” he told Murdok.
Twitter, then, becomes a kind of collective representation of the consumer mind and the current consumer mood.

Social networking and blogging have become more popular than sending email, according to a new report from Nielsen.
More than two-thirds (67%) of the global online population now goes online to visit social networks and blogs.

Gmail Tasks Lab Gets New Useful Features
Back in December, Google introduced a new feature in Gmail Labs called "Tasks" that provides Gmail users with a window to keep track of their…tasks (go figure). Today, they have announced a couple new features for Tasks.
Users can now easily move a task (along with its sub-tasks) to another list by clicking on the arrow (or using Shift-Enter) to the right of the task, then selecting another list in the drop down at the bottom of the screen.

Digital brand management agency Electric Artists is tracking the most popular brands, celebrities, media outfits, and television networks based on category, handle, latest tweet, and number of followers. They also include short notes about how each is using Twitter.
