According to a fresh report, YouTube is in talks with some of Hollywood’s biggest movie studios to make more new releases available through the site. What might be problematic in many users’ eyes is that YouTube and the movie studios are also weighing the idea of charging a rental fee for access.

Digg Nofollow Links: Matt Cutts Approved
Yesterday, Digg announced that it was changing the way it handles some links with regards to the nofollow attribute. The point of the changes is to cut down on Digg spam. Digg is now adding rel="nofollow" to any external link that they aren’t sure they can "vouch for." This means:
– External links from comments
– External links from user profiles

Social Media Marketing Not Working on Women
A study from ad:tech Chicago and Q Interactive’s "Women Channel" found that women don’t seem to be incredibly influenced by social networks when it comes to purchasing decisions. In fact, 75% of the thousand women surveyed claimed that they were uninfluenced by these channels.
Digital Media Consumption Making Big Gains
Americans are increasing their overall media consumption and multi-tasking is playing a bigger role, according Nielsen’s new Three Screen Report.
In the 2nd quarter of 2009 the number of people watching mobile video increased 70 percent from last year and people who watch video online increased their viewing 46 percent during the same time period. In addition, the average American TV consumption remains at an all-time (141 hours per month) compared to the same time last year.
Digg Makes Changes to Nofollow Policy
Digg announced today that it has tweaked its policy on the nofollow attribute on external links.
"We’ve made a few changes to the way Digg links to external sites that may impact some folks in the SEO community," says Digg’s John Quinn. "These changes reduce the incentive to post spammy content (or link spam) to Digg, while still flowing ’search engine juice’ freely to quality content."
Google Improves AdSense Competitive Ad Filter
