Google: Now 100% Snake-Free
Google is reputed to be a great place to work; as an animal lover, I’m especially interested in the company’s lenient pet policy. That policy only applies to dogs, however, so there was a bit of an uproar when a small python got loose on Sunday. The snake, named Kaiser, has now been found.
Marketing Your Product Backstory
Several weeks ago, I noted an interesting story about how Dole is offering "farm codes" printed onto stickers that are placed on organic bananas offering consumers the chance to get to know more about the farm that grew the banana by visiting www.doleorganic.com.
Social Search – The Next Big Thing?
Search technology has been marked by a few big leaps in its history. What began with relatively crude algorithmic analysis of the content of individual pages was improved dramatically by Google’s sophisticated use of off-page criteria, notably PageRank and link anchor text analysis.

Job Search: Your Online Identity Plays a Role
Traditionally, a well-polished resume and rock solid interview technique were the standards that job seekers aspired to when venturing out to find new employment. As the Internet has become more of a user-generated medium, however, blog posts and online photo albums send just as important a message to potential employers about your character.
Technorati & the Blog Search Wars
Technorati CEO Dave Sifry has a new “state of the blogosphere” report out, although the first part of it reads more like a “state of Technorati” report — which my friend and fellow mesh organizer Mark Evans and some others believe is a bit of plumage-fluffing aimed at catching the eye of a potential suitor such as Yahoogle or MicroNews Corp.
Interview with Jigsaw CEO Jim Fowler
