YouTube received 9.8 billion video views in the U.S. for the month of January, down slightly from December’s record-breaking totals of 10.1 billion, comScore reported today.

YouTube said it is testing a new experimental personalized homepage with a small group of users it has selected at random.Don’t worry if you are not part of the group testing the new homepage, YouTube says it will give access to everyone in the near future. The experimental homepage will still have "Featured" and "Most Popular" videos but will add personalized recommendations, videos from subscriptions and a way to see what videos your friends are uploading and rating.
YouTube Used By Police For Leads
The Arlington County Police Department in Virginia is using YouTube to help catch criminals.
Surveillance video from crime scenes is being uploaded to the Web site in an effort to receive leads and identify suspects. A two- minute video of a bank robbery received more than 1,000 hits and could be responsible for providing a lead in the case.
