At the All Things Digital Conference, otherwise known as D7, Twitter Co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone talked about possibilities for making money in the future, but once again, did not want to give too many details away.
Williams said the company is working on a form for people to fill out to give them money, so evidently something is in motion. TheStreet.com reports:
In an effort to build its own popularity, social networking has played largely upon the individual’s craving for popularity. How many friends you have on Facebook, how many followers you have on Twitter, or how many connections you have on LinkedIn can all be perceived as indicators of an individual’s Internet popularity. Just yesterday, a worm hit Twitter that preyed upon such desires.
Twitter may be rocking Google’s world, but what about Twitter’s world? There has been a lot of hype surrounding Twitter search (and real-time search in general) as the way search is going.

Smell that? That’s the aroma of publicity stunt. It may or may not be wafting from the matrimonial abode of Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, or from executive producer offices of an ill-described reality show.
When generating buzz, sometimes people’s own imaginations are more effective than your own, and a little bit of vagueness can go along way. Here’s the sentence that has Ashton Kutcher threatening to stop tweeting (gasp! quelle horreur!):

Over Memorial Day Weekend, there was a lot of buzz around the web regarding a Twitter TV show. Variety reported that Twitter had partnered with Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to develop an unscripted show about ordinary people "on the trail of celebrities."
There is no question that Twitter and RSS have some things in common. However, they are not the same, and Twitter will not kill the feed reader. This is a concept I have seen come up a number of times, and frankly, I just don’t see it happening, at least not without some dramatic changes in how Twitter is presented to its users.
As people talk about what they’re having for lunch, their favorite show’s season finale, and LOLcats, other Twitter users shouldn’t have to worry about seeing ads for Subway, "Lost," and Friskies anytime soon. Twitter cofounder Biz Stone recently distanced himself from the idea of turning to ads for revenue.
So Twitter caused a bit of controversy this week as they changed their @replies feature in a way that actually effected just 3% of their users
