Google scared of Facebook? Puh-leeze
I have to say that until now I thought Josh Quittner was a pretty smart guy.
He was at Business 2.0 magazine for quite awhile, and was editor when the whole shebang went down in flames not too long ago, and was an early convert to the blogs-as-media idea after Om Malik left. But the piece he just wrote for Fortune about how Facebook “has Google running scared” is pathetic.
Should Twitter be Scared of Facebook?
The New York Times has a piece about Twitter, including a nice pic of Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey of Obvious Corp. looking pretty pleased with themselves — as they should, considering Twitter’s traffic has apparently tripled in the past month or two since SXSW helped it become the new black. The state of Utah has been in the news a lot lately for its heavy-handed approach to Internet regulation. The most recent curfuffle was over a law banning the use of competitor keywords in search advertising.
Installing Scripts – Don’t be Scared!
One of the biggest problems that I had when I set up my first site was essentially that I had no idea what I was doing. Once I decided to give it a go (and stop paying people to do it for me) I realised that it’s actually pretty easy.

Fact Two: “Meeting strangers” is the #1 fear of Americans.
Fact Three: With preparation and practice, it is possible to stay cool, calm and collected – and even enjoy yourself – at business mixers, tradeshows, and conventions.
