AOL’s MediaGlow has launched a new political news and blog site called PoliticsDaily.com.
PoliticsDaily.com features a mix of political views and will focus on in-depth political analysis instead of breaking news. AOL says as more people go online for political news and information that its new site will offer information across the political spectrum.
Internet Major Resource For Political News
More than half of Americans used the Internet as a political resource during the 2008 election, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project.
Some 55 percent of adults and 74 percent of all Internet users went online for news and information about the election or to communicate with others about the race.
Nearly half (45%) of Americans watched online videos related to politics or the election. Young adults led the way in their online video consumption, with close to half of all 18-29 year olds watching online political videos.
Is Google Showing Political Bias with Search Results?
There are people who think Google is incorporating political bias into search results. As examples they use misspellings of George Bush and Barack Obama. Are the results of misspelled queries really something Google would take the time to specifically alter to inject their political beliefs though?

Washington Post Launches Political Database
The Washington Post has launched a new site called WhoRunsGov.com that consists of comprehensive profiles of people in politics and the government.Currently the site is focused on people involved in the government and politics on a national level but plans are in the works to expand it to include state officials, experts at think tanks and interest groups.
Most Political Blog Visitors Conservative
If news consumers are indeed upset with the “liberal elite media” and the “liberal regular media,” as Tina Fey, portraying Sarah Palin, put it last week, then the Internet has provided a robust alternative. In fact, as network television ratings slump, comScore says visits to “standalone” political and news websites and blogs are booming, and it looks like the conservatives are winning.At least in September. A lot can change in a few weeks.
