Microsoft and Google have agreed to remove content managed by Copiepresse of Belgium from their indexes, with Google further being requested to pay nearly $43 million in fines.

Talk about a potentially disruptive technology! Google has released a new product that integrates with AdWords: a landing page testing tool called Website Optimizer to help sites maximize conversion rates. It’s high-powered stuff. In May of 2005, Google acquired Dodgeball, and then . . . nothing. Now, almost a year and a half later, Dodgeball users are being asked to sign in using a Google account, which led one blogger to remark that the company “is apparently a Google orphan no more.”

Google released their 3rd quarter financial report today. Needless to say, the results were quite impressive. Google Crushes Earnings Estimates
Google not only nearly doubled its earnings from the third quarter of 2005, but the company beat analysts expectations by about $50 million. The news sent GOOG shares soaring in after hours trading, rising $30 per share just an hour past closing to $456.52.

Google Seals Deal With Byte Computer
Google has just reached an agreement with Byte Computer that will have the Greek company distributing Google’s products in, um, Greece. Byte’s website is a little bare, but the company claims to have “outstanding credentials in providing innovative and cost-effective e-business solutions.”
