Google has made yet another acquisition, and this one involves a company called ImageAmerica. The move should, in effect, help Google Maps and Earth progress from “hey, I can see my house” to “hey, my roof is missing a shingle.”
Internet Brands Acquires Several Car Forums
Cars, cars, cars – I like ‘em, and it would seem that Internet Brands does, as well. The company, which already owned sites like Autos.com and CarsDirect, has now bought at least eight popular automotive forums.

Fast Search & Transfer has worked with AOL, Dell, and Vodafone, and calls itself “the leading global provider of search technologies.” And now Fast Search & Transfer has acquired AgentArts, which is a self-described “leading provider of recommendation and personalization solutions for music, video, games and mobile entertainment.”
Autonomy Acquires Zantaz
$375 million will buy a lot of things, and one of them appears to be Zantaz, “a global leader in content archiving, electronic discovery solutions and software as a service.” Autonomy, “a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise,” is behind the purchase.

Google appears to be on track to deliver on its promise to provide a PowerPoint alternative by the summer. The company has announced the acquisition of Zenter, a company offering online slide presentations.

The vertical search engine Healia, a health search engine that specializes in finding high-quality and personalized health information, has been acquired by Meredith Corporation.
MySpace Acquires Photobucket – Now Confirmed
Although the deal has yet to be confirmed by either party, it appears that MySpace did, in fact, acquire Photobucket. And although the figure $300 million has been mentioned, the terms of the arrangement (assuming such an arrangement exists) remain unknown.
Microsoft Acquires devBiz Business Solutions
Microsoft announced it has acquired .NET software development company devBiz Solutions. The Redmond, Wash.-based software giant plans to integrate devBiz’s web client products into its Visual Studio 2005 Team System (VSTS).
Microsoft says the tools devBiz offers will benefit software architects, developers, testers and product managers by allowing multiple ways to access the Team Foundation Server (TFS).
