There seems to be a case of split personality going on in a lot of companies. On the one hand, the blocking of social media sites continues apace. On the other hand, the adoption of social media in the enterprise is also on a growth spurt.

Ten days ago, Joe Magyer described Google as “the world’s scariest stock.” He may have been laughed at as a result, since the search giant proceeded to gain about $60 per share. It’s now lost around $40, though, and investors have to be feeling decidedly uneasy.

Bloglines did another update today, adding a new Bloglines Top 1000 section, showing off the 100 most popular blogs, along with data on which ones are moving up or down, and sidebars with the new blogs on the list and the biggest movers.
Google Earth Gets Real-Weather Update
The weather can cause a lot of headaches, and due to its questionable reliability, a new weather-related update to Google Earth might also become a source of frustration. But with options like “Clouds,” “Radar,” and “Conditions and Forecasts,” the update’s cool factor is likely to outweigh any complaints.
