Is Internet Use in Your Home Public?
In the United States, we have some pretty easy-to-remember guidelines on what constitutes “public” and “private.” Areas like your home and your car are considered private. With a few notable exceptions, other areas are public. These legal definitions apply to entities like the police and the press—anything that happens (or is found) in public is “fair game,” but to intrude on your privacy, the police have to have at least a reasonable suspicion of illegal activity (or your permission).

comScore, a leader in measuring the digital world, has released its monthly comScore qSearch analysis of the search marketplace for December 2007. Among core search engines in December 2007, Google Sites remained the top search property with 5.6 billion core searches conducted, representing a 58.4 percent share of the search market. Secondary Domain name Sales Total GBP37 Million in 2007
According to SEDO, internet domain name sales in the secondary market totaled GBP37 Million. Sedo, the leading online market place for buying and selling Internet domain names and websites, has launched its annual report on the growth of the secondary Internet domain name market in 2007. The report, which has tracked the state of the secondary Internet domain market annually since 2004, unveils the latest figures for 2007.
AskEraser Already Under Fire
Privacy watchdog groups have filed a complaint with the FTC about AskEraser, claiming that the six-week-old service doesn’t live up to its promises of erasing all user search data even when enabled.
