Banner Exchanges – Are They Useful?
For those who don’t know, a banner exchange is a service that offers to show your banner ad on other sites if you show their ads on your’s. They often have thousands of sites in their networks so you can get your banner shown in a lot of places. They will offer an “exchange” rate – the most common is probably 2:1. This means that for every two banners you show on your site, they will show one of your’s on other peoples. You can get better exchange rates such as 4:3 or 5:4.

Your site visitors make all the choices when it comes to browsing the Web.
No other medium gives users, readers or customers such control over their own experience. TV, radio and print present information in a very linear, controlled way. But on the Web, there is no telling how your next visitor will experience your site.
Do You Wait for Pages to Load?
Though I always recommend that you design your pages to load as fast as possible, just as I do with my own, I actually never wait for pages to load when I’m surfing. However, statistics abound that show that most people do wait, since it’s the #1 reason for people leaving a web site. With that in mind, it occurred to me that obviously most people don’t surf the way I do, otherwise, page load times wouldn’t be such an issue.
