Blockbuster Gets Ready to Test Online Game Rental

As Blockbuster.com continues its struggle to compete with the much more popular Netflix movie rental service, the company is starting an online video game rental offering to compliment its movie offering.

This was announced a while back, but today’s announcement puts a date to its launch – June 30. It will start in Cleveland, but is planned to go nationwide by the end of the year. The Cleveland pilot test will be open to all Blockbuster Total Access and Blockbuster By Mail subscribers.

Frequent Flyers Want Wi-Fi

Frequent flyers say staying connected via Wi-Fi is their top priority when traveling, according to a new survey by American Airlines and HP.
Nearly half (47%) of business travelers said Wi-Fi was the most important airport amenity, outscoring basic travel needs such as food by nearly 30 percent.
"We know that our business customers rely on technology to be as productive as possible while on the road," said Manuel de Oyarzabal, Director – Customer Research at American Airlines.

Digg: No Shouting!

Usually sites these days are frequently adding new sharing features. Popular social site Digg is actually eliminating some.

Most notably, Digg has decided to remove its "shouts" feature, which allows you users to send "shouts" to their friends when they want them to Digg something. Digg’s Jen Burton explains:

Soviet Business Prodigy Drops $200 Million On Facebook

Facebook announced today the company will accept a $200 million investment from Russian investment firm Digital Sky Technologies. A couple hundred million nets Digital Sky just under two percent equity in Facebook at a $10 billion valuation.

Other companies with similar offers in recent weeks were rejected by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, primarily because Zuckerberg did not wish to lose control of the board of directors. Zuckerberg currently holds one seat and one empty one to secure control of the company.
