Facebook Attracting Younger Users In The U.K.

The number of 15-24 year olds in the U.K. visiting social networking sites reached 6.8 million in June, up 14 percent compared to the previous year, according to a new report from comScore.
The overall audience of social networkers in this age group is up substantially during the past year, but the time spent on social networking sites is down 9 percent. The overall decrease in time spent on the sites appears to be due to younger users spending less time on secondary social networking sites.

Domain Registrars Lose Accreditation

Three South American domain registrars have lost their accreditation according to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The reason for this is that they have failed to comply with the requirements of the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA).

The registrars involved include South American Domains, which does business under NameFrog.com, Simply Named (SimplyNamed.com), and Tahoe Domains.

Watch Videos on Twitter without Clicking Short URLs

Video search engine VideoSurf launched a Firefox add-on today called "Videos at a Glance," which can show Twitter users the videos behind applicable links. For example, if someone in your Twitter stream posts a link to a video, the add-on will automatically display the video, as well as a visual video summary, right in the tweet, so you don’t have to click through.
