The numbers released by comScore for top US home, work, and university online users for July through September 2006 showed Google’s third quarter search share was as strong as its financial report.

Fox, Yahoo! Share Lead In US Video Streams
Though Yahoo! has the largest video streaming audience (but just barely), Fox Interactive Media streams 20 percent of the US-initiated videos on the Internet, according to comScore. YouTube, just 21 months old, is third all around.
Google’s Website Optimizer
Talk about a potentially disruptive technology! Google has released a new product that integrates with AdWords: a landing page testing tool called Website Optimizer to help sites maximize conversion rates. It’s high-powered stuff. The British Government is seeking to stop an EU directive that would force any website featuring video clips to register as a Television-Like Service.
Google Dabbles In Dodgeball
In May of 2005, Google acquired Dodgeball, and then . . . nothing. Now, almost a year and a half later, Dodgeball users are being asked to sign in using a Google account, which led one blogger to remark that the company “is apparently a Google orphan no more.”
