JupiterResearch is weighing in on the accuracy of e-mail measurement with the formation of the E-mail Measurement Accuracy Coalition (EMAC).

The group will offer recommendations of guidelines to measure e-mail deliverability and other e-mail marketing performance indicators.
"There is a fundamental lack of consensus across the e-mail marketing industry on how e-mail performance is measured, which ultimately undermines the effectiveness of the medium and renders cross industry benchmarks useless," said Vice President and Research Director David Daniels.

Coke Expands Viral Marketing Efforts Online

Crayon has been working closely with Coca-Cola to expand its brand awareness within the virtual world of Second Life. Coke is now taking its online campaign to the next level with the “Virtual Thirst” contest, which is being promoted across multiple social avenues, including Second Life, MySpace and YouTube.

A popular and very funny session today was the session entitled “Venture Capital 2.0: Bright Future or Broken Forever?”. This session was moderated by Mike Arrington of Techcrunch who is a former VC himself and current angel investor.
