A few days ago, an incident happened to me that has prompted the writing of this article. I’m sure that if this is an issue for me and one of my Web sites, it’s an issue for many others.
With my personal Web site, I use a nationally known Internet Host provider to host it. They’ve hosted my site for years, and I can’t really complain about their services (except that you can rarely find a real "person" to talk to).
Google, which is used more than 150 million times per day to conduct searches has announced its entrance into the pay per click arena with the recent introduction of its new “Ad Words Select” program. The old “Ad Words” Program was based on paying per impressions of your ad, not clicks, thus the addition of the word “select.”
There is nothing like a good positive news story to put a business on the map. Done right; it will create more attention and have more credibility than thousands of dollars worth of paid-for advertising. But how do you achieve that?
When we talk of getting focused this means specifically to see what captures our undivided time, attention and energy. Choosing what you’re going to focus on overall imparts clarity. Does this mean you’re only going to focus on these specific things? Not at all.
Every action has a beginning phase where you launch your activity, a middle period in which you must sustain and develop it, and a conclusion. Many people set up a website enthusiastically but then they find that they don’t have the skills or knowledge to maintain and develop it. So, what are the challenges in this middle phase of a website’s life and how can you meet them?
Updating the site: The beauty of a website is that it is not static like a brochure or printed document. You can change it to reflect new products or new developments in your enterprise. You can launch new campaigns, and at any time you can add more content.
The problem for some companies and individuals is that after they have paid a good amount of money to have their site built, they do not have any personnel who can make changes to the website, such as adding new text or photos etc. One solution to this is to make sure you have a good maintenance plan included in the contract or agreement you make your with your web designer, so that minor changes can be made by your original designer
