The ever-relevant question in the realms of Internet Marketing and Online Business. I often get people asking me questions like “Can I really make XYZ in the first week like they say?” and “What’s the best business/program?”
Hype! Seems people won’t buy anything without some because they still really WANT to believe all the utter rubbish they read — quite willingly therefore — fooling themselves!
To answer the second question first, YOU are the business, not some *miracle cure* program. Base it on something real that you know or love AND that is in sufficient demand.
Do your research, planning, budgeting, buying … in the exact same way you would for a “real” offline business.
Expect to work just as hard too.
There is no right or wrong program, but too many of them are no more substantial than hot air. You’re far too likely to waste a lot of time and money blowing it!
As to the first question, it really depends.
In many cases the carefully worded “pitch” deliberately anticipates that the reader doesn’t have a clue about the implications. Oh, in their hearts they must know that THEY have to sell it, but they WANT to believe it’s easy and a “this is all going to be done for me” factor. It isn’t!
If you already have a recognised name, a hugely popular website, a large responsive mailing list, an army of affiliates AND the product is entirely sound, then you MAY be in a position to make the *promised* amount.
So, on a technicality, maybe the pitch isn’t lying.
Then sound products would NEVER need to have these wild claims made about them in the first place, would they?
The usual reality is that making anything at all in such a short time, could be considered to be a miracle.
Maintain hope, retain common sense, have realistic dreams, but be careful of fooling yourself into believing the impossible. And, miracles, remember, take a little longer.
