EFF Launches Terms Of Service Tracker

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has launched a "terms of service" tracker for Facebook, Google, eBay, and other popular websites.
The goal of the EFF’s "TOSBacK" is to give users a real-time feed of changes and updates to more than three-dozen policies from the Internet’s most popular online services. Clicking on an update displays a side-by-side before-and-after comparison on what has been added and removed from the policy.

Google Alleviates Privacy Concerns About Flu Tracker

Yesterday Google announced its Flu Trends tool, which tracks outbreaks of the Flu. Of course like with just about everything Google does, there are critics, and very often the concerns of these critics stem from privacy issues. This case is no different. So before the speculation and criticism spirals too far out of control, Google decided to nip it in the bud, and address these things right away. A post at the Official Google Blog says:

Mobile Stock Quote Tracker

We will create a mobile stock quote tracker program in this article. The program retrieves the real time quotes of symbols specified by the user and displays the results in a user friendly format. The user can also specify the high and low thresholds for setting alerts. The View Stock Alerts screen displays the stocks that have crossed above the high threshold and stocks that have values below the low threshold.

The stock symbols selected by the user are stored in a simple MS Access database containing a single table “tblStk”
