The Importance of Setting Goals

With rare exceptions, nothing truly worthwhile in life happens by accident. Sure, you may win the lottery but what are the odds? What if you could achieve everything you ever wanted without wining the lottery? What if it was as simple as deciding where you wanted to go and planning the route to get there? It is. Goal setting is the process of deciding where you want to go in life and then mapping out a series of steps to get you there.

Setting Up a Linux Modem

Almost all modems manufactured today are software modems, usually referred to as “winmodems”. Even though we pay a lot for a winmodem, they are cheap to manufacture because they use very little electronics. The functions that should be performed in hardware are emulated by software. This places an extra processing burden on your computer’s CPU. Winmodems will not work with Linux unless you can locate a special “Linmodem” driver.

Setting The Tone

One of the most important things to get right when writing your ads, your ezine articles or your e-books is the ‘tone of voice’. You want to catch your readers’ attention – so that they don’t delete your message out of boredom or immediate lack of interest – but neither do you want to be ‘in their face’, so that they still delete your message but this time out of annoyance or irritation.
