I had a chance to catch up with Matt Cutts and Vanessa Fox last week at the Las Vegas Pubcon. We talked about a variety of things – from the hacking of someone’s out of version WordPress blog to the recent PageRank updates at Google. One of the more recent and perhaps lesser-publicized changes we discussed however was Google’s recent decision to change the way they handle content on subdomains. Google Scrubs More Malware From Index
Google has shown itself to be the strong, silent type, and quick, too – in about two days’ time, the company cleaned up what one individual called “massive amounts of malware redirects” without bothering to say a word about it.
Google Base Scrubs Its Face
The homepage for Google Base received a mild makeover in order to improve its usability, particularly by bulk uploaders who can enhance its value by placing a lot of items in Base in one go.
