There’s talk of lowering the drinking age, with at least a few colleges’ presidents backing the idea. This change would lead to an absolute marketing blowout. In the meantime, though, Facebook’s found its own workaround solution by introducing a system of demographic restrictions.
EMI Drops DRM Restrictions On iTunes
Crusaders against Digital Rights Management (DRM) believe the practice does nothing to curtail music piracy while placing unnecessary restrictions on downloaded audio content. In a move that should please the anti-DRM contingent, EMI has announced that it will remove the restriction from its tracks on iTunes.
MySpace To Add New Age Restrictions
MySpace is expected to announce today the addition of new restrictions limiting the ways adults contact younger members. Though coming just days after a lawsuit was filed by a 14-year-old girl, MySpace says the restrictions have been in the works for some time.
