Once you have decided upon the best format for your ebook, your next step will be the design process. No matter which format you choose, one of the most important factors in determining your ebook’s overall success is your presentation.
Your ebook should not only look professional in design, but should also be well organized and easily navigated. In addition, your ebook should include images that will enhance its appearance and compliment your subject matter.

If I could start over… Lessons learned in e-publishing business

As my online business approaches its 1st anniversary, I look back on my efforts and results, trying to summarize and draw conclusions. What would I have done differently if I had to start from scratch again? What could I have done better? If you are just starting out in an information publishing business, or thinking about going into an e-business, the information I will share with you could be absolutely priceless as I will speak completely from personal experience.

If I had to do all over again, here are the things I would do differently:

Publishing a Book – How to Do It Yourself

To begin: Write your book. Get a tough editor to go over your work and tell you where you need to do more. Expect to do this at least twice. I generally rewrite my books 5-7 times before they are published. I put 5000 hours into writing the Breast Health book; my editors put in another 5000 hours!! You can get started on the first three steps (below) while you are still writing.

How To Break Into Print Publishing

The big question. Do you submit directly to the publishers, or do you find an agent who will do that for you? Based on anecdotal evidence I’ve heard, it can work either way. The bottom line is, if a publisher reads what he can sell, he’ll buy it. It doesn’t matter if it comes from an author or an agent. The trick is getting him to read it. That’s always your focus.
