Apple’s Mac OS X makes broad use of Adobe’s PDF technology. It is the first example to date of an operating system that contains an actual Adobe Normalizer embedded as a system component. A careful analysis shows that Apple hasn’t yet delivered on the exciting promise of an operating system built around PDF.
The Best Parts of Panther
Now that a good bit of the Mac population has Panther, I thought it would be a good time to go over what I like most about the new OS. If you have a differing opinion, let me know.
Mac OS X Panther upgrade
A lot of folks have grumbled about paying $130.00 to upgrade to Panther, the latest version of Mac OS X (October 2003). I have to say that it is definitely worth it: maybe you feel cheated because you just paid for Jaguar six months ago, but you will be happy after you install this. The hype, for once, has reality behind it: this is as good as Apple said it would be.
