With online classified sites becoming increasingly popular with Internet users, one of their top priorities is the safety of such sites.
A new survey commissioned by Kijiji, eBay’s free local classified site, found 36 percent of visitors to online classified sites are concerned about ads that may be misleading or fraudulent.
More than a quarter (28%) of visitor’s worry their email address will be spammed, while 26 percent are concerned about getting a computer virus and 24 percent are concerned about classified ads that may have adult content.

The majority of online shoppers who use coupons are missing out on savings by using invalid or expired coupons, according to a new report commissioned by Coupon Craze and conducted by Harris Interactive.
The majority (94%) of online shoppers have had an expired or invalid coupon code but more than half (57%) have continued with their purchase despite not being able to use the coupon.

Appeals Court Upholds Online Gambling Ban
The U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia upheld the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006, rejecting that the law was vague and violated individual privacy rights.
The law was challenged by the Washington, DC-based trade association Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (IMEGA), on behalf of the Internet gambling industry.

Time Warner Cable announced Thursday it is working with a number of networks to provide its customers with more online access to programming.
The networks involved in the upcoming trials of TV Everywhere include TBS, TNT, HBO, CBS, Syfy, BBC America, AMC, WE tv, Sundance Channel, Discovery and the Smithsonian Channel.
