Yahoo announced today that it is making its Yahoo oneSearch service available on the mobileWeb in the United States. The search service first launched in Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 is now available to 85 percent of mobile phones.
EA Mobile Offers Sports Link
EA Sports has launched EA Sports Link, which extends their online sports fan community to mobile phones. Sports fans will be able to learn about EA Sports games as well as read the latest gaming and sports news. The service is currently available on the Cingular Wireless network but the company has plans to branch out to other carriers in the coming months.

Harris Interactive, a market research company has announced the results of new research into consumer acceptance of mobile phone advertisements. The research looked at current levels of consumer interest in mobile phone advertisements, preferred advertising methods and the willingness of consumers to be profiled.

According to Parks Associates, U.S. consumers have a favorable opinion of convergence in mobile devices. The marketing research and consulting firm reports that 41 percent of U.S. households own a camera phone and 21 percent own an MP3 music phone.

The Online Publishers Association has released a study," Going Mobile: An International Study of Content Use and Advertising on the Mobile Web" finds that the mobile platform is becoming an effective source for content and marketing because of strong growth and consumers paying more attention to advertising.
The study found that 76 percent of all consumers in the US and Western Europe have access to the Web on their mobile device, and one third (32%) use it. When it comes to usage the UK leads with 54 percent followed by the US and Italy both coming in at 41 percent.
