Google is adding a good deal of the functionality from Google maps to Google Maps for Mobile. This includes the ability to access and interact with different layers like Traffic, My Maps, and Search layers at the same time.
Multiple Search Feature Comes to Google Maps
Google has added a new feature to Google Maps, which allows you to perform multiple searches, while keeping them around for future reference. It’s hard to explain without an example.
On the Google Lat Long Blog, to illustrate the feature, they give the example of a search for the Road to Hana on Maui. They search for this, but also search separately for supermarkets, gas stations, and driving directions to Hana, HI.
Google Lets You Add Tables in Presentations Now
Google has added the ability to include tables in presentations in Google Docs. The feature has apparently been in high demand, and the company says they really wanted it too.
Users can insert a table into their presentation, then easily add, select, and resize rows and columns, format and align text across the table, and set background colors for cells and borders. Rows will resize themselves to fit content. Google provides the following example table:
Google Expands Local Currency Reports for AdSense
Google announced today that it is expanding availability of local currency reports to AdSense publishers in Denmark and Norway. Switching to these new reports means that all earnings generated from advertisers paying in other currencies will be converted to the publisher’s local currency each day.
