Gmail Makes it Easier to See Pics From Family/Friends

In the past Gmail has hidden images in email messages by default. If a user wanted to see images contained within a message, they had to click "display images below" to get them to show up.

This policy is still in place for messages from unknown recipients, but now images will automatically be displayed if they come from a contact. More specifically, if you have emailed a person at least twice, you will see images from them without having to click the "display images below" link.

Robot Wants Friends On Facebook

Researchers from the Interactive Robots and Media Lab (IRML) at the University of the United Arab Emirates are giving a robot its own Facebook profile page to explore "human-robot relationships."
Research indicates that humans gradually lose interest in interactive robots after a few weeks. Dr. Nikolaos Mavridis, Lab director at IRML, hopes to change that by studying how humans interact with a robot on the social web.

Narcissists Have More Friends On Facebook

Researchers at the University of Georgia have concluded there are lots of narcissists on Facebook, and you probably know one—or several. How do you know if your friend is a narcissist? According to the study, count the number of contacts he maintains, as well as the number of wall posts. Are there a lot of them? While you’re at it, check for palm hair and sudden episodes of blindness. This person loves himself. A lot.
