AdWords Opportunities Expanded to More Advertisers

Earlier in the summer Google began beta testing the Opportunities Tab in AdWords. This is a feature in advertisers’ accounts that tries to point them to additional cost-effective traffic for their search campaigns.

Google is now expanding the beta to more advertisers in the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom and Australia. Google says over the next few business days, they will expand the beta to all English-language accounts.

Local Google News Feature Recently Expanded

Here in the United States, we’ve been enjoying the local news section in Google News for a while now. Last year, Google launched this feature allowing people all over the country to see news pertaining to their local city aggregated in its own section on Google News just like the World, National, Business, Entertainment, etc. categories.

On Friday Google launched the feature for Google News users in the UK, India, and Canada. To use it, find the local section on the front page and enter your city, state, or postal code in the local search bar:

Microsoft’s iPod Killer Gets Expanded Duties

Microsoft’s rumored iPod killer may be much, much, more than that. In addition to its own features, the product, codenamed Argo, could be part of a larger line of "Xbox-branded digital-media products" in the works.
And it’s possible it won’t make it out by Christmas, as earlier reports indicated.
Brier Dudley of the Seattle Times broke this news thanks to "some research, reporting and information from a source close to the project."
