In the past Gmail has hidden images in email messages by default. If a user wanted to see images contained within a message, they had to click "display images below" to get them to show up.
This policy is still in place for messages from unknown recipients, but now images will automatically be displayed if they come from a contact. More specifically, if you have emailed a person at least twice, you will see images from them without having to click the "display images below" link.
Google has introduced new navigations improvements for Google Maps Street View. These improvements are collectively being referred to as Smart Navigation.
Why tweet in 140 characters or less when you can Tweet in full color video all day long? So query the video sharing sites like 12seconds.tv and twitvid.io which allow users to share video updates through their favorite microblog site—Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, friendfeed, et. al., ad nauseum. Whether you want to use your webcam or your mobile device, sharing video is only a couple of logins and a wee bit of hassle away.
A bit too much hassle, apparently, for some.
If you go to Facebook.com/friends, you can create friend lists on Facebook and organize your friends into different categories. This is good for organization, privacy, and for simply controlling what you see on your home page. This clip pretty much explains what it’s all about:
YouTube has continuously been improving its video analytics program YouTube Insight since its launch last year.
"Whether you want to know how old your audience is, how many times your most-viewed video was rated last week, or which minute of your clip is most engaging, YouTube Insight can give you the answer. As we add functionality, we’re careful to preserve YouTube Insight’s clean and easy-to-use look and feel," says YouTube.
Late in the day yesterday, Twitter announced a change to the home page. The "replies" tab became the "@username" tab. Essentially, this makes Twitter even more useful for online reputation management than it was before.

YouTube announced that it has made annotations much easier for the average user to engage in. Basically its as easy as signing in, clicking, and typing.YouTube Video Annotations let users add text within their own videos. Kind of like VH1’s Pop-up Video. Users can use the feature to add background information, create stories, link to related content, etc.
Last week, Google announced the end of some of its services, and among them was the ability for users to upload videos to Google Video. They said they would be refocusing their attention on building a more comprehensive video search engine, and why not? They’ve already got YouTube.
