Speakers and Coaches know their business. Many of them write useful, inspirational books and have creative Web sites. But, one thing they are not as adept at is promotional copy.

It’s not the book, it’s the hook! It’s not the beautiful Web site, it’s the one with benefit-driven headlines that lead your visitor straight to your sales message. What you say outside the covers matters. What you say about your service on your site must be so much more powerful than your pleasing personality.

Business Email Etiquette 101 – Yes It Does Make a Difference

If you do any type of business online you MUST realize the importance of email etiquette. When you press that send button, there’s no turning back, you’ve just sent out your email salesperson. Who would you like to represent you and your business? A well dressed, personable, well spoken salesperson or someone in sloppy clothing, slewing slang, and spewing double negatives and run-on sentences like rain?

Is There A Difference When Writing For The Internet?

As a writer for a multitude of projects from web site content to detailed business plans all the way to press releases and promotional material, I’ve noticed one major difference in writing for the Internet versus writing for other channels of communication. Primarily writing good copy is essentially the same no matter where it’s presented but writing for the Internet requires one important distinction. That distinction is less verbiage with more impact!
