Jupitermedia today announced it has sent cease and desist letters to eMarketer Inc. claiming inducement to breach contract and infringement of its copyright and database rights in both France and the United Kingdom.
Google Issues Cease And Desist To Orkut Geomapper
Google is very protective of its Orkut online community. Its terms of service page is replete with rules and regulations concerning member use. One of the rules, “using any robot, spider, site search/retrieval application, or other device to retrieve or index any portion or the orkut.com service,” has been violated, causing Google to issue a cease and desist decree.
Google Sends Cease and Desist to Booble
Google lawyers have sent a cease and desist email to Booble.com. They claim trademark violation and dispute Booble’s claims that the site is simply a parody… which under law is protected by free speech.
