Amazon Says NowNow For Mobile Answers
Hot on the heels of their Askville release, Amazon.com has just debuted NowNow, a mobile service that will provide up to three answers per question for up to 25 cents per question.
New Amazon Site A Shoe – In ?
Amazon.com has launched a new Web site that will focus solely on shoes and handbags. The name of the site is Endless.com and will offer 250 brands and 15,000 styles. The site also boasts that it will offer free overnight shipping on all items. It will be interesting to see if the overnight free shipping will remain permanent or if it is just an initial promotional tool.
Amazon Has Record Holiday Sales
Amazon.com had a record-breaking holiday season. Their 12th season surpassed all previous sales records according to the company. The busiest day of the holiday season was December 11. On that day customer orders were over 4 million.

The rising trend of social media and user-generated content continues as Amazon touts the launch of its Askville service, a site geared at asking and answering just about any question that you can possibly come up with.
Amazon to Launch DRM-Free Music Store?
The rumor mill is running hot and heavy with underground rumblings that Amazon may be entering the digital music marketplace as early as the 2007 first quarter. It is speculated that the company will offer DRM-free mp3 tracks and offer a variable pricing structure for participating record labels.
Amazon Strikes Back At IBM In Patent War
Recently IBM sued Amazon.com over patent infringement. On Thursday Amazon fired back with a suit of it’s own directed at IBM for patent infringement. The countersuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Amazon disputes that they infringe on IBM patents and that IBM infringes on patents that Amazon holds.
Jeff Bezos Talks Amazon Web Services
I’ve always liked Jeff Bezos persona as he comes off as a very honest and energetic guy who’s passionate about the web and what can be done on it. He started out by talking about the Amazon we know today that has 61 million active buyers and will surpass 10 billion in 2006 sales.
Amazon Launches Clickriver
Amazon’s realized that it’s about time it launch its own sponsored search product for Amazon.com. With the beta launch of Clickriver Ads, Amazon will offer pay-per-click advertising using the “bid + performance” model made popular by Google and soon to be adopted by Yahoo.
IBM Sues Amazon
IBM has filed two lawsuits against Amazon.com for violating a number of its patents, all of which seem to involve the basis of Amazon’s operation.
