Popular Facebook App Shut Down

About a month ago, one of the most popular applications on Facebook was yanked in North America. That application would be Scrabulous, a Scrabble-like game developed by the Agarwalla brothers from India who were met with a lawsuit by Hasbro.

Karaoke Gets the Internet Radio Treatment

Internet radio sites aren't the only ones facing recording industry woes. Even Karaoke performances are coming under fire. Users of "The Sims On Stage" (a site owned by Electronic Arts) were recently greeted with the following message:

Back in April, when it was reported Google spends about $72 million ($7530 per employee) on feeding three meals a day to its employees from a robust chef-inspired menu, I wondered how long a public company with cost-conscious shareholders to answer to could keep up that kind of perk. Four months later, it looks like Google is trimming back.
