Google Opens Advertisers Up to Walker Texas Ranger

Google TV Ads opens up AdWords user accounts to real television advertising opportunities, and the list of channels available through this program continues to grow. So far Google already had six networks from NBC Universal including Sci Fi, Oxygen, MSNBC, CNBC, Sleuth, and Chiller, as well as  Bloomberg Television and 96 networks through DISH Network.

Display advertising is making a comeback. Ok, it never really left, but the targeting capabilities of newer services like MySpace’s MyAds, or even Google’s display ads for AdWords have made the advertising medium more appealing because they utilize the personalization and targeting strategies that made search engine advertising so attractive to advertisers since the dawn of the AdWords revolution.

In a mildly weird fashion, Google answered some questions regarding HTTP status codes and "if-modified-since" from users who were either made up or had their names changed to protect their anonymity. Names like Little Jimmy, Temp O’Rary, Janet Crinklenose, and Frankie O’Fore (my apologies to any Janet Crinklenoses who may be out there, but I think I’m safe in my assumption that the name is fictitious).
