Publish Your Book In PDF

For those of you who don’t have your acronyms cap on yet, “PDF” stands for Portable Document Format. Over my personal good wishes, this is a widely used electronic book file format originally developed by Adobe. Many books, reports and documents are created in PDF for no better reason than because it works across many platforms. Technically speaking, if you can print your document on a printer, then the PDF file created from that document can be “read” EXACTLY the way you create it by IBM based computers and also by MAC computers. The Amiga computer can run almost anything anyway so there is no need to mention it.

Effective and Memorable Award Presentations

A lot of otherwise exceptional recognition opportunities come undone at the point of delivery. Organizations devote time, money, and effort to recognizing employee achievement, yet when it comes to presenting the award, the potential to add meaning and impact goes unfulfilled. For example, a top engineer receives an achievement award for technical excellence, which is presented to him by the CEO at a quarterly managers’ luncheon.

Appropriate Solutions Yield Amazing Results

A number of years ago, I was asked to bid on a very large training contract. I assumed, as there were lots of good consultant/trainers running around, that I was in a very competitive situation and therefore, the only thing that mattered to the customer was the price. Thus, I decided I would lower my already low asking price by 25 percent in order to make sure I would have a fighting chance to land this job. The first order of business was to go to the city where the corporate headquarters was located and meet with the corporate staff that had the authority to hire me.

Relationship Marketing – Key for Small Local Business

Someone wrote me recently and said “I don’t think every small business has the need nor inclination to send regular follow up emails.”

The “no inclination” part I can believe, but no need? Not unless you have all the business you can handle. Otherwise you need to collect (opt-in) email addresses at every opportunity, and use them to establish and build relationships with your prospects and customers.
