Rumor: Google Working On New News Delivery Service

Sharon Waxman formerly of the New York Times and the Washington Post, and now writing for the Wrap says that she went to a party at Arianna Huffington’s mansion and spoke with Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Far from the idle chit chat about the weather, she claims that Schmidt told her about Google’s plan to roll out a system in six months that would bring "high-quality news content" to users without them actually looking for it.

Good Online Experience Leads To More Donations For Nonprofits

Visitors to nonprofit websites are more likely to donate money, volunteer time, and recommend the nonprofit to others if they have a good online experience, according to a new study from ForeSee Results.
Nonprofit websites score 73 on the study’s 100-point scale, below many other online industries, including online banking (83), e-retail (74), e-government (74) and automotive websites (78).

Disney Acquires A Stake In Hulu

Disney has announced it has acquired a stake in Hulu that is thought to be as high as 30% according to the folks over at Mashable. Disney has now joined NBC Universal and News Corp. in this venture.
The momentum this gives the video site is very real as it looks to jump on a position in the market that perhaps YouTube may be too late to the game on. YouTube has just started to strike deals with the major media producers and their lineup of available programs to watch is not as impressive as Hulu’s.
