Microsoft Says Vista Is On Schedule For Release

After delaying the release several times, Microsoft now assures the world that Vista will meet its slated launch date of January 2007. Vista represents the first major overhaul in five years for the venerable Windows operating system. Windows is used on about 90 percent of the world's computers, and its sales account for about one-third of Microsoft's total revenue.

Net Neutrality Scores A Win

Net Neutrality advocates got something today they haven't been used to: a victory in Congress. The Internet Freedom and Nondiscrimination Act, sponsored by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner and Rep. John Conyers, won the majority approval of the House Judiciary Committee, passing by a vote of 20-13.

MSN search has introduced an Open Directory (ODP or DMOZ) opt-out meta tag allowing webmasters and search marketers the option of preventing an erroneous or miswritten Open Directory description from appearing as part of MSN search results.
