The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization will sponsor three major networking events at this month's Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose.
This past weekend was BlogHer. I only was able to make it down for the Saturday sessions, but overall, I think it was a great event. In a sentence, it was the most valuable blogging-related event I have attended in the past year.
Back from two phenomenal days at BlogHer, and now starting to digest some of the things that I'd noticed over the weekend.
Senator Ted Stevens may not have a grasp on how, exactly, the Internet works, but the veteran politician could teach Congressional rookies a thing or too about getting your way in Washington. Net Neutrality supporters are hitting the phones trying to prevent Stevens from orchestrating a backdoor vote.
A Guardian Unlimited story has floated around all day with the headline "YouTube overtakes MySpace," detailing how the video-sharing website had surpassed MySpace in daily global Internet visits. Unfortunately, it's flat out wrong. YouTube's not even close.
It's hard for me to imagine using an OS without a strong command line. Even Microsoft has recognized the for that with their Monad Shell ( though they are at least temporarily removing that from Vista).
