After years of reading and trying to learn new software and methods of design I’ve come to find that the best way to learn is to see it done.
There is lots of software out there that can make visual tutorials. I had the chance to use Camtasia Studio 1.1 and I have to say that it’s a great tool.
Not only can you make compelling tutorials, presentations, tutorials, menus,
CD ROMs etc.. It can export to SWF format making it extremely easy to put
on the web.
Working with Camtasia is easy. I mean really easy. All you have to do is open the studio, click on recorder, hit record and you’ve already started. You can also add effects and audio very easily.
I was able to make a presentation for our design team in about 20 minutes, outlining all of our new goals and ideas.
The video below is a quick start tutorial to Camtasia Studio showing you how to use the basic functions. You can also see what can be done with the software. There is no better way of promoting your product than by using it!

Camtasia studio 1.1 also comes with Converter and Theater for Camtasia Studio. Anyone who has the old Camtasia from 2.2 up to this release has a free upgrade.
