New Weblogs, Inc. Blogs

Weblogs, Inc. has launched their 64th through 66th Weblogs, Satellite and Digital Radio by Glenn Fleishman, Flash by Saul Rosenbaum, and The SAS Weblog (SAS) by Ted Conway.

“Howard’s moving to satellite radio, so it’s a done deal,” explained Weblogs, Inc. co-founder Jason McCabe Calacanis when asked about why the firm was launching a satellite radio blog.

When asked about the addition of the Flash and SAS blogs Brian Alvey, Weblogs, Inc. co-founder, said, “Blogs do a better job of covering software news than the publishers can because a software publisher is the least objective news source.” Alvey added “Bloggers aren’t directly invested like a publisher or a PR firm, so you can get a better picture of the good and the bad.”

Droxy, the Satellite and Digital Radio Blog, features Glenn Fleishman, a technology journalist, who contributes regularly to The New York Times, MAKE, PC World, Macworld magazine, and is also a columnist for The Seattle Times. Glenn has written several books, the most recent being Take Control of Your AirPort Network (Take Control, 2004). Droxy.com will focus on content, equipment, industry news, and ‘what’s next’ according to Fleishman. “With the migration of the decidedly different styles of Bob Edwards, Opie & Anthony, and Howard Stern to the unregulated content dial of subscription digital radio, millions of new listeners are expected-adding to the several hundred thousand currently paying to listen to commercial-free broadcasts,” reflects Fleishman.

Next on the Weblogs, Inc. launch pad is the Flash Insider blogged by Saul Rosenbaum who spends his days hidden away in his tiny suburban Philadelphia studio, deeply engrossed in interactive and web projects for clients throughout the U.S. Rosenbaum says that the Flash Insider will “discuss actionScript, illustration, animation, interface design and all stops in-between.”

And Ted Conway will be blogging The Unofficial SAS Weblog offering a light-hearted look at SAS – the world’s largest private software company – with related news, techniques, tips and discussions. Conway has been a happy SAS camper for the past 20 years – and regularly presents papers at local and national SAS user conferences.

Judith Meskill, Weblogs, Inc. Network (WIN) Editorial Director, is also happy to announce the addition of three new excellent bloggers and editors to the Engadget team at Weblogs, Inc. – Emily Conrad, Jonathan Hayter, and Marc Perton.
