Google Signs on for DigitalLife

Google is among the latest wave of companies to sign on for Ziff Davis Media’s new event DigitalLife.

Other new sponsor and exhibiting companies include TiVo, AT&T, XM Radio, CallVantage Service and Movielink. DigitalLife — the first event by, of and for the digital consumer — takes place October 14-17, 2004 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

“We’re building a ‘Who’s Who’ of consumer digital technology companies to help consumers touch the full spectrum of products and services shaping today’s digital lifestyle,” said Jim Hasl, vice president, Ziff Davis Media. “Our goal is to put the entire digital entertainment revolution under one roof for consumers to help them sort through their options, get their hands on the best new products available and have a lot of fun in the process.”

Google will serve as the Official Search Partner of DigitalLife, helping consumers search the Internet onsite at Javits for more information and the best price on products they see at the event. Google’s innovations in web search and advertising have made its Web site a top Internet destination and its brand one of the most recognized in the world.

Companies like Google — as well as previously announced participants such as Microsoft, AOL, Intel, Motorola and BestBuy — are leveraging DigitalLife to demonstrate their innovations directly to a large consumer audience just in time for the start of the holiday buying season. No other trade show or event of the size and scope of DigitalLife is designed to allow digital tech companies to speak directly to consumers.
