Adobe Changes Image

Adobe announced they’ve added four new collections to its stock photo service. All these images will be added into the Adobe Creative Suite 2 and include a number of major image groups to choose from the JupiterImage collections and you can help maneuver through all these photos with their new search tool.

Adobe has added 4 sets from Creatas Images, Goodshoot, IT Stock Free and Thinkstock Images. These are in addition to the Photodisk and Digital Vision by Getty Images, Comstock by Jupiterimages, imageshop by zefaimages and amana. This will bring the Adobe photo stock to over 355,000 and making a most impressive library.

“Adobe Stock Photos provides a single interface to a wealth of stock photos, which allows us to focus on the conceptual aspect of projects instead of searching for images for hours on end,” says Owen Starr, creative director and partner of twocreate design, a design firm specializing in corporate identity systems, Web sites, and packaging. “Not only does twocreate design benefit, as we easily save four to six hours per week by using Adobe Stock Photos, but so do our clients, as the ultimate outcome is our ability to deliver stronger creative results.”

Creative Suite 2 also includes a new advanced search tool which will help users weed through the hundreds of thousands of photos allow people to narrow down their searches by specific collections in addition to media types and orientation. Besides adding this aspect to their search, customers can get low-resolution, non-watermarked images to put into the layout of a page and it allows them to look at it before paying for the image.

All in all, these are nice add-ons for Adobe. It just adds more choice for the customer to Adobe’s already expansive line of desktop publishing products.
