I just checked Yahoo.com and uk.search.yahoo.com and both look the same. Can you point out any specific change or may be a screen shoot?

Maybe OP is talking about the yahoo homepage, not the search result page. I like the old version since I have been using it for years. Really don't want any change.

I could find the new bar on left side with options like yanswers, yweb and you tube.. I didn find any change in algorithm.

The old home page (at least in IE) would have the annoying habit of 'pulling you up' after you had scrolled down. It was very annoying to me. The new page doesn't seem to do that (at least in Firefox anyway)
