Default Is Yahoo in a backfoot after Bing blitzkrieg

I do not know but it seems that everyone has kept mum about yahoo. As bing has stolen the limelight and as Google is gearing up for promoting Chromed based OS, not a single person is discussing about the future of Yahoo. Is yahoo looking for the perfect time or it has become obsolete? What the members think?

MSN or Bing just came up with new looks and features and that was
a good sign for this SE. But I think Yahoo is not backfooted by Bing
since Yahoo tops on different countries and was still used by many
people all over the world.

Yahoo is more of an information portal with a search engine. MSN would be more of a competitor for Yahoo as it is also an information portal. Bing is just a search engine.

...and I feel sorry for both MSN (Bing) and Yahoo because yes, they are information portals with search functions - which will never be able to truly compete and dominate like google does/will.

I'm not impressed with Bing. I updated a site two weeks ago. Google and Yahoo have indexed the new and changed pages. Bing still shows the outdated info. So is Bing sending spiders, or did it just copy a database and is it just a static listing of old links?

Yahoo is still the dominant portal and has the highest user satisfaction rating.

To count them out would be most premature.

I don't thing so.. Bing is the new version of MSN(live).com , If he updates his algo.. without new name and also then nobody says YAHOO is going on backfoot, likewise Google is launching his OS then Microsoft will be on Backfoot now???

No....Never...... But any way anything can be happen ... Finally benefit should go to USER.. Without any monopoly ... Like google is doing.... Thats it

Yahoo has never been on the top of Google but Bing stands nowhere right now. It is true that competition is fierce but to survive in this competition is still a big question. I think Bing has to think about it as it is not providing something new. So, I think it is fair enough to say that GOOGLE ROCKS.

Here, this is MSN.com. It is not bing, it's a information portal link Yahoo!. MSN uses bing for it's search functionality.

Hey,
definitely yahoo future looks not so bright, because yahoo is already in a competition with google and the popularity of bing cause more problems for the yahoo.

You are right but now Yahoo had a merger with Microsoft, so its a new game with the same big players but with a ratio that is fairly difficult for Google to digest. Now the top management of Google will be having some sleepless nights, thinking about this.

Personally, I think Yahoo still has its own standing even though Bing maybe rising. I do believe users of Yahoo will still continue to support and use Yahoo searches. For me, I too use Yahoo to search as it can give me the result that I am looking for.
