Yahoo and Microsoft Allegedly Talking New Ad Deal

Yahoo and Microsoft are allegedly discussing a potential new ad deal. According to D: All Things Digital's Kara Swisher, Yahoo's new CEO, Carol Bartz and Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer met last week to discuss the possibility of showing ads on each other's search engine in an effort to compete more strategically against Google. A number of unnamed sources with knowledge of the situation stated that the meeting was not about a renewed acquisition attempt by Microsoft. Yahoo & MSN definitely have to work together to compete with Google, but I wouldn't be surprised if Yahoo somehow messes it up. It's been a while since Yahoo did something right.
