Default I need help with Yahoo indexing

Hello all and thankyou for your time in reading this . It is very much appreciated .

Where to start , well I have a website called ps3pro dot co dot uk and i have :-

944 pages indexed with google
7 pages indexed with Yahoo
36 pages indexed with MSN

I have submitted my site map to yahoo, msn, google etc but for some reason yahoo and msn are not indexing it . I submitted it last year and only have 5 pages as there are some old pages still there.

I have in total 4796 pages and growing .

I have made an .xml sitemap and am now stuck on what to do ??

Also DMOZ have not indexed it and i submitted that last year to .

Please help me someone

Your problem with Yahoo appears to be that the index.html homepage is getting indexed.

Best way to take care of that is to select your preferred URL and 301 all the other canonical URL's to it.

Yahoo has been having "issues" with 301's so adding the canonical <link> tag to the head of the doc wouldn't hurt.

I didn't look at the site itself but once the 301's are in place, make sure you are consistant with your internal links (external too) and only use your preferred URL.

Proper linking and structure will, for the most part, negate the need to submit a sitemap but that's another consideration as well.

Hi crankydave ,

Thankyou for your reply , my site is in php and now msn are starting to index it . But still not yahoo . I have tried pinging the server way with still no joy . Also to be honest i don't know what your talking about as i am new to php . I know that i properley submitted the sitemap and that my site is a very good structure .
