Why use Yahoo for online marketing?

Just curious to see what answers I will receive. Every time I have tried to use Yahoo tools I just do not receive quality traffic. As a newbie, maybe I am just not using / doing something right. Suggestions?

if you are talking about yahoo search marketing (compared to google adword)... it all depends on the campaign/ads. on some ads i get much better cost per conversion than google.

I was having a hard time marketing in yahoo. I was planning to do some
promotions on this SE. Maybe yahooanswers,yahoogroups, yahoo350 and
etc.. can help me with my problem.

PPC from Yahoo gives a decent traffic with lower price compared to Adwords.

Yahoo is horrible, I get no conversions from them. I use their search marketing program, and I'm about to cancel it.

I haven't tried yahoo search marketing. But visitors from yahoo search engine do have higher conversions for my case.

For me, marketing with Yahoo was always a failure. I have tried 3 or 4 times because of the specific wish of the customers. I think I will never use it again.

It has many channels to marketing. We can use the Yahoo Classified to promote our products.

Sorry, but most of these posts are pointless. It tells me nothing. "It works for me and it doesn't work for me", does not say a thing.

What KIND of services or products are you selling. Does it work for specific services or products? Does it not work for other types of products and services.

And the person saying they spent thousands on Yahoo and didn't get any conversions. Are you stupid or what? You certainly should have monitored your ad program much better than that. If I spend $10 and get no conversions, I am concerned. You didn't say how many impressions or clicks you got. If those clicks didn't convert to sales, then I would suggest what you are selling or your website is more to blame. Obviously you don't learn very fast.
